Mr Nabeel Malik is a leading Consultant Ophthalmologist and founder of the Olelo Clinic.
He has practiced in the NHS as a Consultant at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London since 2010.

Career and Training
He attended St Pauls’s Schoolin London and Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School, at the University of London.
He graduated in 1992 and gained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) in 1997 and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCSEd Ophth) in 2006. Nabeel is recorded on the Specialist Register, with the General Medical Council and holds the Royal College Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training.
Faculty Membership
Nabeel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Medical Training
Nabeel completed his Basic Surgical Training in Ophthalmology at The Western Eye Hospital in London and the Southampton Eye Unit.
Having gained the FRCOphth, he embarked on a 2 year period of further specialisation at St George’s Hospital, London, in Neurology, Neuro- Ophthalmology, Rheumatology, Diabetes and Cardiology. He was a Cardiology and Medical Registrar.
Fellowships
Having completed his Higher Specialist Ophthalmic Surgical training in London, Nabeel undertook further super specialisation in Inflammatory Eye Disease, HIV and Diabetic Eye disease , as a Fellow in Medical Retina and Uveitis at The Chelsea and Westminster and The Western Eye Hospitals.
Nabeel also specialised in Oculoplastic & Adnexal surgery, undertaking an Oculoplastics & Adnexal surgical Fellowship at the world famous Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
Research and Teaching
During the course of his career, Nabeel has undertaken research at both Moorfields Eye Hospital and also at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He has also undertaken the training of numerous junior doctors and fellows, published in respected journals and has presented both locally and nationally.
His research interests include inflammatory eye disease and HIV and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TENS).
In 2014 he was recognised by the National Institute for Health and Research for outstanding support for the NIHR Comprehensive Clinical Research Network’s portfolio.
He had formally held the post of Chairman of the Independent Ophthalmic Ethics Committee from 2008-2013 and was part of the TENS working group.
